cleraring the clutter

I am exhausted.  My feet stink.  Are there still dishes in the sink?  I guess the Olympics are almost over. (Ba BAA Ba ba ba BA ba bumbumbum bum)  Wonder what we will have for dinner tomorrow?   How long has it been since I cleaned the toilets?  Did I handle that discipline situation too harshly?  Not harshly enough?  Who wrote that novel I have been wanting to read?  I was really impressed with her  learning today....  Oh, woman really ticked me off.... What can be done to help....?

My mind races often these days.  It's an odd mix of mundane thoughts, open ended questions and needless clutter.  And like my house, it is seldom organized and tidy.  I am thankful that the God I ponder knows all my thoughts better than I do.  He walks with me through them and loves me completely dispite all the mess.

The LORD knows the thoughts of man;
       he knows that they are futile.
Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD,
       the man you teach from your law;
  you grant him relief from days of trouble,
       till a pit is dug for the wicked.
  For the LORD will not reject his people;
       he will never forsake his inheritance.
  Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
       and all the upright in heart will follow it.
                           Psalm 94-11-15
